{"id":1723,"date":"2018-01-16T19:05:00","date_gmt":"2018-01-16T19:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/maderatribustg.wpenginepowered.com\/?p=1723"},"modified":"2026-05-13T18:31:28","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T18:31:28","slug":"2-arrested-in-alleged-burglary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maderatribune.com\/es\/2-arrested-in-alleged-burglary\/","title":{"rendered":"2 arrested in alleged burglary"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"1723\" class=\"elementor elementor-1723\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-448ca2cf e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"448ca2cf\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-41f8497b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"41f8497b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of burglarizing a home on Manzanita Drive in Oakhurst.<\/p><p>David Greene and Tama Lucas were taken into custody on Jan. 10 after being found with a U-Haul truck carrying property that allegedly had been stolen Jan. 8.<\/p><p>On that day, at approximately 5 a.m., Madera County Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies responded to a call from the 39000 block of Manzanita Drive in Oakhurst, reporting a burglary. The owner of the property said two motorcycles and several pieces of equipment had been stolen from his garage.<\/p><p>During a subsequent search of the area, a U-Haul truck with two occupants was located.<\/p><p>The two subjects, Greene and Lucas, refused to consent to a search of the vehicle; however, enough probable cause existed to detain the vehicle. Madera County Sheriff\u2019s Office detectives obtained a search warrant for the U-Haul, and numerous stolen items, including the equipment and one motorcycle, were recovered and returned to the owner(s).<\/p><p>Arrest warrants were issued for both Greene and Lucas. On Jan. 10 at approximately 10 a.m., the Sheriff\u2019s Office received a tip from a citizen about the whereabouts of Greene. At approximately noon, deputies performed a felony vehicle stop in the area of Road 200 and Fine Gold Creek, and took Greene into custody. Shortly after, at approximately 12:40 p.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 40000 block of Butterfield Stage Road in O\u2019Neals and took Lucas into custody.<\/p><p>Greene and Lucas were transported to Madera and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections without incident, according to Kayla Serratto of the Sheriff\u2019s Department.<\/p><p>They have been charged with felony counts of residential burglary and receiving\/possession of stolen property.
