The Madera County Sheriff’s Office became aware of an increased pattern of criminal activity affecting the Indian Lakes neighborhood in Coarsegold in March.
These crimes ranged from general theft, theft from motor vehicles and vandalism. There was also one instance of motor vehicle theft.
The Madera Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) was tasked with investigating these incidents. In the early stages of the investigation, it became clear that a specific group of people, mainly juveniles, were responsible for these incidents.
