Madera Police Department Corporal Jeremy Smith conducted a traffic stop near W. 4th Street and north I Street after observing a vehicle being driven recklessly by Alan Guillen.

During the Sunday night stop, Corporal Smith noticed a firearm on the floorboard next to Guillen feet and the serial number had been intentionally removed.

A further search of the vehicle uncovered cocaine and a black ski mask. It was later confirmed that Guillen is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition due to a prior felony conviction. He was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail on multiple charges.
