Madera Unified School District is preparing for a new school year, which will bring exciting learning opportunities for more than 20,000 students.
The first day of school will begin Friday, at 8 a.m. for elementary schools, 8:15 a.m. for middle schools and 8:30 a.m. for high schools.
This year, MUSD will introduce a new K-8 school, dual-language buildings, and a fresh district logo.
The district reminds families to adhere to campus traffic procedures, use designated drop-off areas, and follow directions from school staff assisting with traffic.
Additionally, MUSD students will receive free breakfast and lunch throughout the school year, regardless of their family income.
School bell schedules are: Elementary schools — 8 a.m.-2:45 p.m.; middle schools — 8:15 a.m.-3:22 p.m.; high schools — 8:30 a.m.–3:45 p.m.
