A four vehicle crash on Friday afternoon on southbound State Route 99, south of Avenue 21 1/2 led to multiple lane closures and a several hour clean-up.
A driver of a black Cadillac Escalade rear-ended a white Chevy Malibu in the No. 1 lane. the impact caused the Malibu to be pushed forward into the back of a Volkswagen Tiguan. That impact caused the Volkswagen to rear end another vehicle.
The driver of the fourth vehicle did not remain on the scene and left before the CHP arrived.
