The Madera County Historical Society is bringing in a group to work for about five days to fix the Madera County Courthouse clock that hasn’t been working in quite a while.
Spring Hill Suites has donated the stay for the week for the three gentlemen.
Madera County District Chief of Staff Nick Salinas posted on social media that the Historical Society was bringing a group of workers to fix the clock and asked if Madera restaurants could step up to feed the gentlemen.
Step up, Madera did. The workers shouldn’t have to pay for a meal while they are in Madera. Spring Hill Suites has a complimentary breakfast, and many other restaurants and businesses in Madera have donated for the workers.
Non-restaurant donors include Pistoresi Ambulance (Lead donor), Saim Mohmmad (Remax) and Rich Caglia (Red Rock). Their donations will also help support the workers’ meals and leftovers will be donated to the Madera County Historical Society, according to Salinas.
Restaurants that have said they will donate meals are: DiCicco’s, Lorraine Salazar — Sal’s Restaurant, Madera Police Officer’s Association with two lunches, Vineyard, Togo’s, Fastway, BBQ Rob, Sugar Pine Smokehouse, Full-O Bull, Tacos TJ and Burrito King.
