Madera Unified School District will begin its 2021-2022 school year with all students attending school, physically, full-time, five days a week.
Parents will also have the option to enroll their child in the district’s independent study program, which will be offered for all grade levels TK to 12th grade. Distance learning will no longer be an option for students.
Madera Unified will continue to follow the California Department of Public Health guidelines and protocols and will require teachers and students to wear face coverings while indoors or in the classroom.
“We are so excited to bring back our 21,000 students five days a week. We are prepared to welcome them in August and cannot wait to see them in classrooms with their teachers, who missed them so much. It is where they belong and can learn best from some of the top teachers in the valley,” said Todd Lile, Madera Unified Superintendent.
