In a rematch of the Div. IV Central Section semifinals from last year, the Liberty Hawks baseball team got a measure of revenge with a walk-off 6-5 victory over the Madera South Stallions.

The Stallions scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game. However, Daniel Sandate led off the bottom of the seventh with a double and Xavier Gordon singled him home for the game-winning run Friday afternoon.

Matthew Prado picked up the win after blowing a save in the top of the seventh inning. Dylan Whiteman tossed three hitless innings for the Hawks, but threw 58 pitches. Hudson Groh threw 3 1/3 innings and allowed four runs, but only one was earned, before he ran into trouble in the seventh. The three pitchers allowed just four Stallion hits.
