An employee with the Madera Irrigation District (MID) discovered a deteriorated section of corrugated pipe crossing over an MID canal on Tuesday.
Subsequent investigation revealed a significant portion of the line was in poor condition, and at risk of failure.
MID contacted a traffic control company to create a Traffic Control Plan, and coordinated with the City’s Engineering Department to address concerns about the potentially unstable pipe crossing.
