California Highway Patrol Madera officers responded to a traffic crash on Avenue 12, east of Road 37 1/2 early Sunday morning.
Upon investigation, officers determined a male was driving a black 2010 Honda Civic, westbound on Avenue 12 at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the Honda, overturned in a dirt field, and collided into the property of a nearby residence.
The driver and female passengers sustained minor injuries. The driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.
