Madera South’s Maurice Snowden hit a seven-foot floater with six seconds left to send the boys basketball game against Sanger West into overtime.
However, the Stallions went cold and made just one-of-eight shots in the overtime period. Meanwhile, the Hornets outscored the Stallions 11-7 for a 72-68 victory Wednesday at Madera South.
The Stallions had trouble finding the bottom of the net. They were 0-of-19 from 3-point land in the first half. They shot 21 percent (14-of-48) in the second half and hit just 32 percent (20-of-63) of their shots. They ended up going 3-of-24 (13 percent) from 3-point range.
