Bikers rally planned for coming weekend

Christian motorcycle riders will gather at Courthouse Memorial Park this weekend for an 11th annual Christian Biker’s Rally. The rally will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. For information, call Ron Snipes of One Nation Under God Motorcycle Ministry at 474-9209.

Years ago in Madera for the first week of October

Photo - Nick Pavlovich ended his tenure as Madera’s City Manager 25 years ago. He had held the position for seven years. Pavlovich survived attempts by two members of the City Council to fire him but finally decided that it was time to move on.
