Heading into Thursday night's match-up with the Fresno Warriors, the Madera South Stallion girls volleyball team put its 6-0 North Yosemite League leading record on the line and came away with a three-game sweep.
In a match that took a little over an hour, the Stallions made it very clear why they are the No. 1 team in the NYL. They outscored Fresno 75-40 in the three game sweep.
"We went out and played really well tonight," head coach Andrea Devine said. "We really wanted to put them away quickly. We have a tendency to play to our opponents' level, but we didn't tonight. We played Stallion volleyball."
Valeria Martinez led the Stallions with nine kills to go with seven digs and five blocks.
