Ouch, this one's gonna leave a mark. After getting throttled in back-to-back losses in Tri-River Athletic Conference play to Buchanan-Clovis and Clovis High by a combined 103-35 while giving up an average of 540 yards per game, the Central Grizzlies came to Memorial Stadium Thursday night and made those games seem like fond memories.
This is the same Central program that for years has battled it out with the Coyotes to stay out of the cellar in TRAC play.
But under second-year head coach Casey Quinn, the Grizzlies' program has ascended to new heights while the Coyotes are still wallowing in mediocrity after suffering a devastating 70-14 loss.
This is the most points allowed by a Coyote team in over a decade and the fact that it came against the resurgent Grizzlies made it that much more painful.
