After recording a 1-0 victory in the first game of their doubleheader, the Madera South Stallions scored a run in the bottom of the 13th inning to re-tie game two of a doubleheader with the Chowchilla Redskins.
The second game was called because of darkness after Chowchilla pitcher Stephanie Pierini threw her 216th pitch of the day to record her 22nd strikeout of the day in her 21st inning of pitching.
Madera South won the first game on an unearned run. Chowchilla took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fifth, but Madera South answered in the bottom of the inning. Then, the two teams went scoreless for seven innings before Chowchilla put a run on the board in the top of the 13th. However, the Stallions evened the score in the bottom of the inning.
"It was a game of missed opportunities," Chowchilla head coach Fred Gaumnitz said. "We're a young team and couldn't get that extra hit."
