Rodriquez promoted to district office
After serving four years as principal of Madera South High School, Oracio Rodriguez has been appointed to a new position on Madera Unified’s administrative team — Area Assistant
Superintendent. The veteran teacher/administrator was introduced at Tuesday night’s school board meeting by Superintendent Todd Lile and immediately took his place with Lile’s executive cabinet.
Rodriguez will join Jesse Carrasco and Linda Monreal as the third area assistant superintendent, formerly designated as chief academic officers.
Rodriguez attended Eastin-Arcola School and graduated from Madera High School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from U.C. Irvine and a Master’s degree in education from Fresno State. He holds teaching and administrative credentials.
All of Rodriguez’ career as an educator has been at MSHS. He completed his student teaching at MLK Middle School and MHS South Campus (as it was organized at the time). After a stint of substituting, he was employed as a history teacher at MHS South Campus in 2005. When MSHS was formed into a separate school, Rodriguez remained at South.
His next move was to the position of vice principal over the agriculture department, where he remained for four years. In 2015-2016, Rodriguez was appointed principal of MSHS.
