Oliver campaign event scheduled for Saturday

Madera City Council Member William Oliver will announce his campaign for re-election to the third-district seat on the council at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Fastway Chicken in Madera.

Oliver said he has the support of several business owners and community leaders.

“Please join representatives from the Madera Police Officers’ Association and CAL Fire Local 2881 at my campaign kick-off event,” Oliver said. “I am honored to have their support and endorsement for the upcoming election and I look forward to share what we’ve been able to accomplish working together, and most importantly, what we can set out to achieve over the next four years.

“I am proud to launch my campaign at Fastway Chicken, which this year, is celebrating its 40th year in business and has made many contributions to our community.”
