Stallion Stormcast: Madera South looks to comedy, music
Thursday, November 05, 2009
By For The Madera Tribune - Jacob Gonzalez
Madera South High's first ever homecoming was a huge success with more than 100 students waking up at 5 a.m. for the Channel 30 news broadcast, more than 20 floats at our on campus Homecoming parade and a victory for our Stallion Brotherhood Team.
A special thank you to our grand marshal Gary Adams, Bridal Expressions, Pete's Sports Shop and Cal Valley Printing of Madera.
Comedy play
Madera South Theatre Company presents "The Government Inspector" by Nikolai Gogol today through Sunday and Wednesday through Nov. 14. The play is directed by Ginger Latimer and James Humes. Show times are 7:30 p.m.
A description of the play by www.broadwayworld.com says, "One of the most fa- mous comedies ever written, 'The Government Inspector' offers nonstop hilarity, as news of a surprise visit from an undercover government inspector sends a small provincial Russian town spiraling into a world of panic and greed." A case of mistaken identity follows and local officials "literally fall over themselves with fists full of rubles to bribe the unsuspecting stranger."
