Sharon the Librarian: Bargain book
Thursday, November 05, 2009
By Sharon Stockdale
Must be a mistake, I thought. Nine dollars for a brand new hardback book.
I was preordering "I, Alex Cross" by James Patterson on Amazon when I noticed this amazing, amazing price. Then I saw the newspaper article on the price war between Walmart and Amazon that began in mid-October.
Walmart began the war offering the new book by Sarah Palin, "Going Rogue: An American Life;" Stephen King's new book and others for $10. Then Amazon stepped in and now both are offering 10 pre-ordered books for $9.
My advice would be, if you want any of the 10, pre-order them ASAP. All will be out on various dates in November.
