Stallion Stormcast: Homecoming spirit hits Madera South
Thursday, October 29, 2009
By For The Madera Tribune - Jacob Gonzalez
Forget the popcorn, uncomfortable seats and that loud person behind you, Madera South High is taking you to the movies in a whole new way.
Packed full with action, Homecoming 2009 is here and the lights are flashing. Dress up days took off with a sticky and tight Saran Wrap Day. Math teacher and soccer coach Gene West was bold enough to plastic wrap his entire body to kick off the week and it was a funny sight.
Neon day made everyone stick out. During lunch, leadership held a Neon Project Runway where students were eye-popping from head to toe. When I Grow Up gave the opportunity for students to share what they'd like to be. From lawyers, nurses, doctors to even In-N-Out workers or professional athletes.
Today is Old People Day where some students decided to dress up like some MSHS teachers who may be old in years, but young in their hearts. Last night, students attended the Homecoming Halloween Costume Dance where underclassmen royalty were crowned.
