The Madera Lady Canes Organization will conduct 2009 season tryouts at Lions Town & Country Park from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 6. Players and coaches are needed, according to the group.

Local sponsorship of players is encouraged by the organization, which says it helps to offset costs of tournaments, equipment and softball usage fees.

The Lady Canes Organization is the oldest and most successful girls Fastpitch organization in Madera, having won two NSA CA State Girls Championships and one NSA State runner-up honor.

For information, contact coach Mike Alvarez, 474-3679.
